I feel inspired (Stereomood inspiration mix)

"Inspiration only comes when you least expect it. But, while you wait, listen to this Inspiration mix and don’t be surprised when it comes to you the sound of Alberto Arcangeli, Hannes Smith, Sebastian Plano and lots more."

How nice to be mentioned by such a great radio. Check out their "Inspiration Mix" with Hard Games, Dream Song, Colours and lots more...

Check out the new anti-smoking Video campaign with Dream Song!

Check out the new UNIMED BH Anti-smoking campaign with Dream Song (Programa de Cessação do Tabagismo, in Brasil).

Ok, maybe that just doesn't sound "rock and roll", but who knows what rock is any more?

I dreamed of Bob Dylan, last night.

I dreamed of Bob Dylan, last night. He was just outside the coffee bar where I used to go when I was I child, with his harmonica slung around his neck and his guitar in his hands. Then someone started to sing “I Shall be Released” (the line that goes “I see my life come shining from the west down to the east”). I started to sing too and soon everybody was singing. At this point Dylan raised his head, he looked surprised, and he was crying. He joined us, and we all ended up singing and crying together.
Oh, I was crying so badly, even when I woke up I was still crying.

Ho sognato Bob Dylan, stanotte.

Ho sognato Bob Dylan, stanotte. Era da Bufalini, il tabaccaio di Urbino dove andavo da piccolo. Con l’armonica al collo e la chitarra acustica, stile 63/64. A un certo punto qualcuno ha cominciato a cantare “I Shall be Released” (il punto in cui fa “I see my life come shining from the west down to the east”) e ho cominciato a cantare anch’io, e anche tutti quelli che c’erano si sono uniti a cantare in coro.

Mica lo so perché.

27-28 July – Acoustic live somewhere in Urbino!

27 and 28 July, I’m playing an acoustic set at 9pm somewhere in Urbino, along with Paolino Tomatis. I still don’t know exactly where we’re playing, so “somewhere” is the right word here. The set consists mostly of country-folk songs of the sixties (Buffalo Springfield, Flying Burritos, The Band…) and maybe a couple of songs from my last album (if I don’t forget the chords).

Ciao.

Hard Games: check out the lyrics with chords and sing it to your beloved!

Yesterday, a French schoolgirl asked me for the scores of Hard Games in order to play it at her high school music examination (Good luck for your exam H.P.!). I thought it would have been nice to make them available to everyone.

Like Tim Baker says: “If songs like Hard Games do not drive your lady to smack you on the chops and then give you one of them kisses that smears her lipstick all over your face like a David Bowie album cover than you are doing something wrong.
So, go ahead and try it yourself!

Hard Games – Chords and lyrics

My "artist page" and a beatiful bio on Indie Guild!

By day a finance manager, by night a composer-singer-musician-producer, Alberto Arcangeli has been making his presence felt on the independent music scene for almost a decade with a very personal music style that seamlessly blends folk-rock, country and pop with a delightful splash of seventies psychedelia.

Born in Urbino, a renaissance town in central Italy, and raised on a sagacious mixture of classical music and the Beatles, Alberto started composing and recording his own music at a very young age, and although he enjoys playing with other musicians, when it comes to his own compositions, he prefers to go it alone, playing all the instruments himself and retaining total control over the finished product.

The turning-point came a few years ago when Alberto came to the perhaps inevitable conclusion that the music he was making didn’t seem to be working the way that he wanted with Italian lyrics. Thus came the changeover to English lyrics. Since then he hasn’t looked back, producing two splendid new albums, “Dreamsongs” (2009) and “Pop Down the Rabbit Hole” (2011) and providing the music and the inspiration for the award-winning short animated film “Wheels and Love” by the Italian artist Massimo Ottoni.

Ok, this is the first time I review someone else's music. I didn’t meant to, but Luigi from DLSO asked me if he could use my words and I obviously said “yes”.

"Queste canzoni scendono nel cuore e lo scaldano, quasi ci portassero ricordi lontani in bianco e nero".
